Impact (1949, 111 minutes)

A 1940s film noir, Impact stars Brian Donlevy as a successful businessman menaced by his conniving wife and her lover. The Sausalito scene features shots of downtown and the ferry landing. 

This is the third program in a Sausalito Library series of Friday evening screenings of movies with scenes shot in Sausalito.

  •  At 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 16, inside the Library, film critic and Sausalito resident Jan Wahl will share stories about the many films shot in Sausalito over the years, punctuated by memorable clips from great and not-so-great films such as The Lady from Shanghai, Superdad, The Killer Elite, and Serial
  • The Lady from Shanghai (1947, 87 minutes) will be screened inside the Library at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 23
  • Impact (1949, 111 minutes) will be screened inside the Library at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 30
  • Dear Brigitte (1965, 100 minutes) will be screened inside the Library at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 6
