The Role of the Library Board of Trustees
- Review the administration of Sausalito Library operations.
- Make recommendations to the City Librarian.
- Establish library policies.
- Serve as liaison between the library and the community and between the library and the City Council.
Meetings
- The five-member Library Board of Trustees meets once per month on the fourth Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
- All meetings of the Library Board of Trustees are open to the public.
- Meeting times and agendas may be viewed on the meetings and agendas page for the Library Board of Trustees.
Membership
- Members must be Sausalito residents.
- Members are appointed by the City Council.
- The City Council encourages residents to apply to serve on the Library Board of Trustees; if interested, please fill out an application form.
- The term length is three years, with a maximum of two terms.
- A member may continue to serve after her or his term expires, until a new member is appointed.
