The new and improved Dunphy Park is now open to the public. To celebrate this milestone, members of the City Council and the Parks and Recreation Commission, along with residents who have been integral to the success of the project, will hold a socially distanced ribbon-cutting ceremony on the park lawn at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 19. For those unable to attend, a video recording of the event will be posted to the City website and published in next week's Currents.
The storm fencing along the Bridgeway perimeter was removed by the City's fencing contractor during the week of September 14, providing easy access to all areas of the park. Work that remains to be done at the site includes the completion of the volleyball court, the planting of additional trees and shrubs, and the installation of tables and benches. Hours are sunrise to sunset.
