Halloween is here again! Please join Sausalito Parks and Recreation and your friends and neighbors for a fun evening along Caledonia Street on Thursday, October 31.
Here's the lineup of events:
Halloween Parade. Gather near the fire station at the corner of Johnson and Caledonia streets at 5:45 p.m. for the fabulous costume parade down Caledonia Street to Robin Sweeny Park. The parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. to the accompaniment of Michael Jackson's Thriller. All are welcome to participate, even if you don't have a costume.
Trick or Treat Lane. Local organizations will have candy for kids at the Robin Sweeny Park basketball courts beginning at 6:15 p.m. There will also be free reusable trick-or-treat bags.
Dog Costume Contest. Dress up your pups and bring them with you to compete in this free contest held at 6:30 p.m. in Robin Sweeny Park. The contest categories are best little dog, best big dog, and best couple (human and dog).
Carved Pumpkin Contest. This is a new addition to this year's festivities. To participate, just drop off your artfully carved pumpkin at Robin Sweeny Park between 5:00 and 5:50 p.m. on Halloween. Voting by the public will start at 5:30 p.m. and continue until 7:30 p.m.
