The Sausalito Police Department would like to remind dog owners that they are not allowed to let their dogs run loose in City parks and public spaces. The only exception is the Sausalito Dog Park adjacent to MLK Park.

If you or a family member is bothered by a dog running loose in public, please politely and respectfully ask the owner to keep their animal close and under immediate control. If you are a dog owner who receives such a request, please respectfully oblige.

If the owner subsequently fails to bring their dog under control, aggrieved persons are encouraged to call the police department at (415) 289-4170,
