The Role of the Business Advisory Committee
- Periodically evaluate the economy of the City of Sausalito
- Identify actions to promote the economic health of the business community
- Perform other duties as requested by the City Council or as considered advisable by the Committee and approved by the City Council
Meetings
- The nine-member Business Advisory Committee typically meets monthly on the third Thursday at 8:00 a.m. in the City Hall Conference Room at 420 Litho Street
- All meetings of the Business Advisory Committee are open to the public
- Meeting times and agendas may be viewed on the meetings and agendas page for the Business Advisory Committee
Membership
- Three City residents appointed by the City Council
- Three members nominated by the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce and confirmed by the City Council
- Three local business people and/or commercial landlords nominated by the Business Advisory Committee and confirmed by the City Council
- Except where specifically stated, members do not need to be City residents
- The City Council encourages citizens to apply to serve on the Business Advisory Committee; if interested, please fill out an application form
- The term length is three years, with a maximum of two terms
- A member may continue to serve after her or his term expires, until a new member is appointed.
