    Janelle Kellman was unanimously elected as mayor by her fellow councilmembers at the meeting of the Sausalito City Council on Tuesday, January 11. Mayor Kellman succeeds outgoing Mayor Jill Hoffman, who served in that position during 2021.

    On Thursday, December 9, the City of Sausalito received court approval to relocate the Marinship Park tent encampment from the grassy area of the park to the tennis courts, providing a safe camping site for encampment occupants and enabling the City to broaden its analysis of the grassy area.

    The intensity of the current storm has caused damage across Sausalito, taking down trees and power lines and displacing residents of the tent encampment in Marinship Park. As of 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 24, power outages were affecting approximately 800 residences.
