Nine City Employees Receive Awards for Outstanding Performance
Nine City employees were acknowledged for their outstanding accomplishments in an awards ceremony at the City of Sausalito holiday party on Thursday, December 8. Awards were handed out for each of the past two years because the 2021 party was canceled due to COVID.

Early Results from Undergrounding Survey Show Widespread Interest
A City survey to gauge the interest of property owners in funding the undergrounding of electrical infrastructure along their property has received 125 responses as of December 1, with approximately 80% of respondents saying they would be willing to contribute $500+ per year over 20 years.

Project to Remove Excess Vegetation Along Hwy 101 Begins December 5
Caltrans, in partnership with the Southern Marin Fire District, will soon begin a project to remove excess vegetation along Highway 101 in Sausalito. Work will begin on Monday, December 5 and continue for approximately three months.

Would You Be Willing to Pay for Electrical Undergrounding Along Your Property?
The Council also directed staff to provide a mechanism for individual property owners to indicate how much they would be willing to pay for the undergrounding of utilities adjacent to their homes, both within the area of planned PG&E upgrades and elsewhere in our community.

Pavement Rehabilitation Project Reaches Halfway Point
The second phase of the City of Sausalito's 2022 Pavement Rehabilitation Project has reached its halfway point. Construction on sections of Johnson Street, Girard Avenue, and Platt Avenue began on October 10 and is expected to be completed the week of November 7.
