Ruling Removes Austin/Pearson Cannabis Measure from November Ballot
One of two voter-sponsored measures related to retail cannabis in Sausalito will be removed from local ballots after Superior Court Judge Andrew E. Sweet ruled that the measure is invalid because its two proponents are not Sausalito residents.

Settlement Closes Marinship Park Encampment
Following a settlement agreement with the Sausalito Homeless Union, the Marinship Park encampment was officially closed on the morning of Tuesday, August 16. As of that time, all people who were encampment residents earlier in the month had relocated to temporary indoor housing.

Sewer Line Upgrades in the Area of Girard and Locust Streets

Council Approves Lease with Center for the Arts, Ban on Leaf Blowers
At its meeting on July 12, the City Council approved a lease with the Sausalito Center for the Arts for the Bank of America Building, placed a citizen-sponsored cannabis measure on the November ballot, and took the first step towards adopting a new ordinance that would ban gas landscape equipment.
