With themes from sports to STEAM, kids love summer day camps from Sausalito Parks and Recreation. Camps take place on weekdays in Sausalito, with the first sessions beginning on June 13. Sessions range from three days to two weeks, with some camps offering a half-day option.

Police Chief Presents Annual Awards
At ceremonies on April 20 and 21, Chief John Rohrbacher presented annual performance awards to four employees of the Sausalito Police Department and one volunteer. Because of the pandemic, this year's awards were for a two-year period, 2020 and 2021, instead of a single year.

Serge Avila Promoted to City Clerk
Serge Avila is Sausalito's new City Clerk. It is a job that he is already intimately familiar with, having served as Acting City Clerk for six months in late 2021 and early 2022 while his predecessor Heidi Scoble took on the role of Interim Community Development Director.

Second Ballot Initiative on Retail Cannabis to Gather Signatures
The City of Sausalito has been notified by Paul Austin of Marin City and Joseph Erich Pearson of Sonoma that they plan to collect signatures for a ballot measure to allow cannabis businesses to be located inside Sausalito on a limited basis.
