    Construction on a project to improve safety for cyclists, cars, and pedestrians at the intersection of Gate 6 Road and Bridgeway has been delayed to February 2021. Work will now begin on Monday, February 8, provided that an encroachment permit is received in time from Caltrans.

  • Marinship Civil Rights Icon the Subject of Virtual Program

    At a virtual program on January 13, the Sausalito Historical Society and the Sausalito Library will celebrate the life of Joseph James. Among other accomplishments, James became a civil rights icon as a result of his fight against discriminatory hiring practices at the Marinship shipyards.

    CARSS (Call a Ride for Sausalito Seniors) is a free transportation program for residents of Sausalito and the floating homes community ages 60+ or with a disability. The program was founded in 2015 by the City's Age Friendly Task Force and is managed by Sausalito Village.
