About Public Parking Lots in Sausalito

• There are four paid public parking lots in the immediate downtown Sausalito area.
  • Lots #1-4 are pre-paid parking lots, payment is required in advance for your parking session during the operational hours, currently 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day.
  • Remember the lot Zone # and your space # when you park. 
  • The four public parking lots Zone #'s are as follows:
    • Lot 1= 921 - Lot 2= 922 - Lot 3= 923 - Lot 4= 924
• Options to Pay for Parking (choose only one):

1.) ParkMobile: We offer contactless mobile payment via Park Mobile app at all four of our off-street public parking lots. Save yourself time by downloading the Park Mobile app before you visit.

2.) Text-to-Pay: Text 'Park' to 77223 to receive a payment link on your mobile phone to pay. Enter the lot zone # and your space #.

3.) Pay Station: Pay for parking at a pay station after you park your car in a numbered space. Remember your space # before going to the pay station. Leave receipt on the driver side dashboard.

Note: If using Park Mobile or Text-to-Pay, you can extend your parking session right from your phone if you want to stay longer to enjoy beautiful Sausalito! 

• A fifth public parking lot, at the foot of Locust Street, offers short-term free parking.
  • Lot #5 allows 3 hours of free parking from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., every day.
  • Parking is restricted to permit holders only in this lot from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., every day.

Public Parking Lot Locations

• Sausalito's four off-street paid public parking lots are located directly in the downtown Sausalito area, close to restaurants, shopping and public transit.

Pre-Paid Parking Lot Rates and Hours of Enforcement

• The four pre-paid parking lots downtown have specific parking rates and hours of enforcement which may change with the season, see tables below for hours and rates.
• Payment is required in each lot only during the hours of operation listed below.
  • There is no charge for parking outside of those hours.
  • Hours and rates are subject to change.

Peak Demand Parking Rates and Hours: May 1 through September 30 each year

Off-Peak Parking Rates and Hours: October 1 through April 30 each year

Sausalito Residents Get Discounts in Public Parking Lots

• Sausalito residents that live within Sausalito City Limits may apply for a Resident Parking Passcard which allows them to park for up to three hours free in the downtown parking lots

Commuters Get Discounted Daily Parking Rates

• Commuters to and from downtown Sausalito may apply for a Daily Parking Card that will allow them to purchase all day parking at a reduced rate in Public Parking Lots #3 & #4
