The City of Sausalito Parks and Recreation Department proudly presentsthe 2019 Jazz and Blues by the Bay concert series. This summertime concert series is famous for great music, stunning views and is a great time to spend with family and friends.
This summer’s concert series kicks off on May 31st at 6:30pm with a local favorite and Emmy nominated Maria Muldaur and her Red Hot Bluesiana Band. Maria is a regular and is sure to put on a great opening show. Then every Friday till August 23rd concert goers will get an assortment of jazz and blues artisans. The jazz samplings includes Los Angeles based swing band The Black Market Trust and Oakland’s own Tin Cup Serenade. To round out the jazz nights we are bringing in a swing dance staple band of San Francisco The Hot Baked Goods. To mix it up some we are bringing back a zydeco band Gator Nation, as well as, bringing back crowd favorite Lost Dog Found. For blues aficionados they can enjoy blues master Dennis Johnson and the Mississippi Ramblers, the Ralph Woodson Blues Band, and They Dylan Black Project. Local favorites Johnny Rawls and Ron Thompson and his Resistors will join us as well. And of course the series will end with the blues stylings of Eugene Huggins & Friends.
Concerts are every Friday, May 31st to August 23rd, from 6:30pm – 8:00pm at Gabrielson Park in Downtown Sausalito. Reserved table seating is available and there is free lawn seating as well.
