ADU Owners Encouraged to Help Ease Homelessness Crisis
The City of Sausalito will host a virtual workshop at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18 for owners of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) to learn how they can help ease the homelessness crisis in Marin by housing tenants at market rates through the Marin Housing Authority.

Council Prioritization Focuses on Finances, Infrastructure, Committees

Zoning Administrator Hearing
The next scheduled hearing of the zoning administrator will be held via Zoom at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 18. Under consideration will be the approval of a variance permit at 75 Cloud View Road for the reconstruction of an entry porch on the south elevation of the residence.

Planners Join Staff of Community Development Department
The Community Development Department has added two new planners to its full-time staff, Principal Planner Rozalynne Thompson and Assistant Planner Adam East. Rozalynne and Adam join assistant planners Alaina Lipp and Michael Janusek to round out the City's planning team.

City Appeals Regional Housing Allocation
The City of Sausalito has appealed the assigned number of new homes it must create within city limits by 2031. The allocation of 724 new units by the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) is more than nine times the 79 units assigned to the City in the current eight-year cycle.

Cannabis Measure Qualifies for Sausalito Ballot
An initiative measure to modify the City's marijuana regulations has gathered enough signatures to qualify for the Sausalito ballot. If approved, the measure would modify the municipal code to allow for the permitting of a cannabis retail storefront and a cannabis delivery-only business.
